A subscription enters the Paused state when a renewal payment cannot be successfully processed during the payment retry period.
Why was my subscription paused?
When a subscription renewal payment fails, we automatically retry the charge for 7 days while keeping your subscription active.
If the payment cannot be collected during that period, the subscription is automatically paused.
Common reasons include:
- Insufficient funds
- An expired card
- Incorrect payment details
- Bank authorization issues
What happens when a subscription is paused?
When a subscription is paused:
- Subscription licenses are deactivated.
- Access to subscription benefits is suspended.
- The subscription remains in your account and can be reactivated at any time.
How do I reactivate my subscription?
To reactivate a paused subscription:
- Sign in to your Plugin Alliance account.
- Click Manage Subscription.
- Click See More Details on your paused subscription.
- Verify that your payment method is valid and up to date.
- If necessary, update your payment method.
- Click Resume Subscription.
We will then attempt to collect the outstanding subscription payment. If the payment is successful, your subscription and licenses will be reactivated automatically.

Will I lose my voucher or reward progress?
No.
Your progress toward subscription rewards and vouchers is preserved while the subscription is paused. Once the subscription is successfully reactivated, progress continues from where it left off.
Can I pause my subscription manually?
No.
Plugin Alliance subscriptions cannot currently be paused manually. A subscription only enters the Paused state when a renewal payment cannot be successfully processed.
